FAQ

Can you get lice or other nasties from our visors?

No definitely not – we have a 2 wash system that we follow. We wash all our visors in Dettol after use, then again with a hospital-grade Dettol spray before being used by the next customer. Our Hygiene standards are very high.

How safe is paintball to play?

Paintball is a very safe sport when playing with Strategy Tag Paintball Games.

We have invested in state of the art equipment to ensure that your paintball experience is the safest and most comfortable.

Your safety is our concern and we have taken every step possible to ensure this. Strategy Tag implements the following precautions at our Paintball Park.

  • Policy of checking every players mask before entering our playing fields.
  • Enclosed base camp (tour of duty) with high mesh safety netting.
  • Prohibited the lifting of masks on playing fields. If a player lifts or removes their masks on field of play they will be removed from game. We will not risk the safety of any player.
  • On going training for our experienced paintball marshaling personal.
  • All pre-game safety briefings adhere to the Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Alcohol is not recommended to be consumed before a game and we will not allow anyone on our fields if deemed to be drunk.

We are meticulous with safety, upon arrival and after safety briefing each player will recieve a US-spec goggle protection system incorporating BS compliant lens technology as well as ear and temple protection.

For your safety all of our practices adhere to detailed Health and Safety risk assessments, copies of these are available on request.

To ensure the complete safety of all players Strategy Tag Paintball managers hold a current first aid qualification.

Statistically paintball is actually safer than Soccer, horse riding, netball and Rugby.

Sadly no matter what safety precautions we aspire to there are small accidents ie; ankle injuries, abrasions.

Will I get a bruise form the paintball.

It depends whether it hits through fabric or bare skin. Yes you probably will get a bruise and it can hurt a little, but most people want to leave with a trophy to show their mates.

All of our equipment is run at the recommended velocity which is under 300fps so between 280-290fps. All of our equipment is OSH compliant.

Are you a paintball licenced operation?

There is no such thing; Unfortunately paintball fields don’t need to be licenced at this stage, but we are required by law to have a Arms licence and a filling certificate (Osh). We also have a Qualified first Aider.

Paintball is an evolving Sport in New Zealand and as time goes by there will be new laws and Standards that  fields will be required to abide by and the Managers at Strategy Tag Paintball Games will do there best to deliver to the public a safe place to indulge in the sport of Paintball.

If you have any questions – doubts please call, every question will be answered honestly. We have done everything possible to make your paintball experience the best it possibly can be.
